Trouble beeps, as the name suggests indicate that there is a problem with the alarm system. The most common system trouble is a low battery indication. Others include warnings for loss of communication to the internet or monitoring station, mains power failure and tamper warnings.
Low battery troubles are indicated by a yellow triangle illuminated on the panel and (depending on how the system is configured) will often be accompanied by trouble beeps. It is a common misconception that it is the control panel backup battery that needs replacing. This is not always the case as this is a rechargeable battery and should last many years.
How do I know what the problem is?
